The gardens were beautiful and tranquil.
Our experience was overshadowed by a few issues. We felt the price was quite steep considering the lack of variety in menu options, particularly for vegetarians. while the decor was charming, it sometimes felt overwhelming, almost like stepping into a museum rather than a cozy bed and breakfast.

We had an amazing time staying at The Old Rectory Bed & Breakfast! Liz gave us a very warm welcome, and the house, a beautifully restored 200-year-old rectory, felt like a film set for a costume drama. The breakfast, including eggs from Liz's chickens, was delightful, and the cozy Standard Double Room was filled with English literary classics, making our experience truly special.
We loved everything about our stay!

Couples seeking country escape
We had an amazing time staying there for 2 nights. The eggs for breakfast, coming right from her chickens, were not just good, they were organic. It’s like stepping into a period drama, the house has this antique charm. Liz’s dogs made the atmosphere so cute, it felt like home.
It wasn’t exactly budget-friendly, but when you experience it, you’ll see why.

Every detail of our short stay was delightful, particularly the fresh, organic eggs from local chickens at breakfast, which set a high standard for our day. The warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the charming decor and friendly staff truly made us feel at home. it was disappointing that our visit was not longer and we wish there had been more vegetarian options during our meals. I also found the price to be a bit steep after our experience.
